SimGrid Seasons – Updated Racing Schedule

banner-seasons-stability-update

The launch of SimGrid Seasons has been a successful one, but it came with some unforeseen challenges. The sheer number of new users registering on the site was a bit too much for us to handle all at once. As a result, we had to work around the clock to regain control, and I’m glad to report that we are now back on track.

Now that we have steadied the ship, we want to ensure that the platform works flawlessly. To achieve this, we will continue to stress test it over the next few days. With this in mind, we have made some changes to the series schedule.

Updated Schedule

There will only be Quick Races available around the clock for the next few days. We want to get as many people involved as possible to see the impact on the platform’s scalability. These races are free and open to everyone. We have already been getting multiple splits in most races, but we want to push it further. So, don’t hold back—get involved and share your feedback about your races on the SimGrid Discord.

Over this weekend, we will be testing the Mini Enduro format. There will be three race slots each day, starting from 6 PM CET and running until 9 PM CET. Mini Enduro is a 45-minute race where drivers must complete a mandatory pit stop. With a maximum of 30 cars per split, managing a bigger grid will also be a challenge.

This weekend, the Mini Enduro will be held at Imola—my personal favourite and a fantastic track for a large grid of GT3 cars.

Once we are 100% confident that everything is rock solid, we will permanently open the additional series, but with some changes.

The Half Hour Dash has been deactivated for now. Feedback indicated that Proving Grounds was too similar and there wasn’t enough of a difference between them. Proving Grounds seems to be the more popular choice, so we are sticking with that.

We’ll have more news on when Proving Grounds will reopen soon. Stay tuned.

Thank You for Being Legends

I also want to thank everyone for being so patient with us while we addressed the scaling issues over the past few days. As a token of our appreciation, all players will receive one free pass to join one of the Mini Enduro race slots this weekend.

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for the support you have shown SimGrid Seasons already—it truly means the world to me and my team.

So, I encourage you all to get involved in the Mini Enduro this weekend at Imola. Have fun racing other drivers at your skill level at a time that suits you.

Thanks once again. Catch you around the next lap.
