June has been quite the success here at SimGrid. We have seen More Female Racers by Thrustmaster Rockets get into full swing, endurance races galore from the Endurance Cup and The SimGrid x VCO World Cup, and of course, the five-race sprint that was the Kyalami Series. We’ve done a lot in June, but that doesn’t mean July won’t be any better…
Anniversary Party
Today is our Birthday! July 1st marks the date of our very first event all the way back in the summer of 2020, so what better way is there to celebrate than to head to the track?
12 months ago, we headed to Suzuka for our launch race, so this year, that is exactly where we are going, but supersized! The Anniversary Party will be a 3 split, 90-minute sprint at the land of the rising sun, with each split consisting of 100 cars each. But, what’s better than a 100 car GT3 race? A 100 car multiclass race. Each split will consist of 50 GT3 cars and 50 GT4s, adding to the diversity and challenge of the grid. Lapping and dealing with traffic will be key to the success of every driver, so keep an eye on those mirrors!
The action will kick off with qualifying at 20:40 CEST, allowing 15 minutes for each class of car, so both GT3s and GT4s can safely get their laps in. Once the stage is set, the lights will go green at 21:10 CEST, setting off the timer for 90 minutes of madness! Make sure you tune in to our YouTube channel to celebrate the milestone with us.
Endurance Cup S3 by Thrustmaster
Season 3 of the SimGrid Endurance Cup has been as entertaining as ever. So far, we have seen Lada Sport ROSNEFT take two wins on the bounce, whilst being hunted down by the powerhouses of YAS HEAT and Odox Motorsport. The championship is as close as can be, as just 18 points separate the three world-class teams.
July will play host to the final two rounds of the series, firstly at Paul Ricard for a 9-hour event on July 3rd, and three weeks later, at Misano for a 3-hour race, which will be the final round. There’s nothing quite like endurance racing, and the SimGrid Endurance Cup is the very pinnacle.
Both Paul Ricard and Misano pose unique challenges which are sure to keep drivers competing for every last inch. If the first three rounds are anything to go by, these final two races are set to take the championship down to the wire in 12 hours of unmissable action.
More Female Racers by Thrustmaster Rockets – Finale
More Female Racers by Thrustmaster Rockets is set to come to a close on the 5th of July, at the Nurburgring. This track, however, was not set in stone, as it was voted for by the public on SimGrid’s social media – being announced just one week prior to the race’s date. This gives drivers half the time than usual to prepare, posing a whole new challenge to the team across all classes.
Speaking of classes, Pro, Silver, Pro-AM and AM are all completely undecided heading into this final 60-minute sprint. Currently, Aloo Gobi and Jens Kaiser from Map1 Racing lead the overall championship, sitting pretty at the top with a 15 point advantage over Timea Bencsik and Adam Pinczes from Arnage Competition. However, this is certainly not a big gap, as one slip up from Map1 could leave the door wide open for Arnage Competition to snatch the championship right at the final moment. Silver Class is even closer, with just 9 points separating NSN x Wild Things Racing and Turn1 meets BSKIT – another fight that has been raging on all season long.

Sprint Cup S4 kicks off
After G2 Esports claimed championship honours of Sprint Cup S3 at the end of May, they will be back on the track to defend their championship crown. Our ever-successful Sprint Cup returns to your screens for a fourth season, starting on the 8th of July for the opening 90 minutes of action at Misano. The series will continue to rage on throughout the month, with the second round at Kyalami kicking off on the 22nd.
The last season of the Sprint Cup provided us with more action than ever before, as we saw the championship fight go all the way down to the final round at Suzuka. In the six races, we saw four different winners and ten different podium sitters, but expect those numbers smashed. Not only are we set for the most competitive season of sprint racing at SimGrid to date, but Sprint Cup S4 comes with a prize pool. Due to the small entry fee paid by all participants, the top split alone will come with a minimum of an $800 prize pool, giving everyone that extra incentive to push to the limit.
