After the Madness of March, things continue in their momentum as we transition to April. Many unique events have been planned for this month so strap your seatbelts on as we begin!
The 2021 Sim Grid x VCO World Cup – Mount Panorama
The first event of The 2021 Sim Grid x VCO World Cup takes place from the 1st of April 2021 to the 3rd of April 2021 with much fanfare. In case you already don’t know what’s happening, here is All You Need to Know About The 2021 Sim Grid x VCO World Cup to get you up to speed.
The first event takes us to Mount Panorama in Bathurst, Australia and will be held over three days. The qualifying event is being held on 1st April at 19:45 CEST and the race is a 12-hour event that will take place on the 3rd of April, 2021. The event will start at 13:00 CEST. Make sure you mark this event on your calendars as it’s going to be a good one!
Economy Challenge
We bet you didn’t see this one coming. We shake things up in 2021 with our Economy Challenge. The event will see racers drive GT3 cars on the Kyalami circuit for an 80-minute race. The one-off event will not allow any refuelling, and each vehicle will have only two sets of tyres available for the entire event. The event will take place on the 15th of April 2021, with registrations opening on 5th April 2021 at 17:00 CEST.
Battle of the Outcasts
The Battle of Outcasts will pit racers against each other at the Temple of Speed to the end of April. Sim racers will race at Monza in a classic Jaguar vs Reiter competition. The race duration is 60 minutes, and the event will be held on the 29th of April 2021, with the registration window opens on 19th April 2021 at 17:00 CEST.
Super Saturday
As always, we continue our tradition of hosting Super Saturdays. For April, we have 2 Super Saturdays planned with some veteran events and some rookie races. As usual, we have three support races on each Super Saturday ending with the Best of British championship rounds. Please note that only the Support Races for every Super Saturday is open to registration. The Best of British championship is solely based on our qualification process.
Super Saturday 10.04
The first Super Saturday takes place on the 10th of April, 2021 and will feature the GT4s event, Ferrari Challenge and the BMW Challenge as the support races. The day will end with the fourth round of Best of British. All the support races will take place on Brands Hatch. Registration for the Support Races begins at 17:00 CEST on April 1st 2021.
GT4s
The GT4s Event is the first support race of the day, with a 30-minute race planned for racers. The Practice session will start at 17:00 CEST until 17:25 CEST. The Qualifying will take place from 17:25 to 17:35 CEST. Finally, the race session will commence at 17:40 CEST and will go on till 18:10 CEST.
Ferrari Challenge
We return to our popular Ferrari Challenge event, which is the second support race of the day. Practice starts at 18:05 CEST until 18:30 CEST. The qualifying follows shortly after, beginning at 18:30 CEST and ending at 18:40 CEST. At last, the Race session gets underway occurring from 18:45 to 19:15 CEST.
BMW Challenge
The BMW Challenge forms the day’s final support race, with racers taking on the track in their trusty BMW M4s with practice starting at 19:10 CEST, lasting until 19:35 CEST. The qualifying session takes place from 19:35 to 19:45 CEST. The race will take place from 19:50 to 20:20 CEST.
Best of British – Brands Hatch
The marquee event of Super Saturday 10.04 is round 4 of the Best of British Championship. The practice will occur from 20:15 to 20:40 CEST, while the qualifying will take place from 20:40 CEST to 20:55 CEST. The ultimate race will be held between 21:00 to 22:30 CEST.
Super Saturday 24.04
On the 24th of April, 2021, the second Super Saturday will feature the Bentley Challenge, GT4s event and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo as the support races. The day will end with the fifth round of Best of British. All the support races will take place at Snetterton. Registration for the Support Races begins at 17:00 CEST on April 14th 2021.
Bentley Challenge
The first support race of the day is the Bentley Challenge. The race duration will be 30 minutes, with the practice session starting at 17:00 CEST until 17:25 CEST. The Qualifying will take place from 17:25 to 17:35 CEST. The race session will commence at 17:40 CEST and will go on till 18:10 CEST.
GT4s event
The GT4 event returns once again in April as the second support race of the day. Practice will start at 18:05 CEST until 18:30 CEST. Qualifying follows next, beginning at 18:30 CEST and ending at 18:40 CEST. At last, the Race session gets underway occurring from 18:45 to 19:15 CEST.
Lamborghini Super Trofeo
It is time to shake things up in the Super Trofeo category with some Lamborghinis with practice starting at 19:10 CEST, lasting until 19:35 CEST. The qualifying session takes place from 19:35 to 19:45 CEST. The race will take place from 19:50 to 20:20 CEST.
Best of British – Snetterton
The final event of Super Saturday 24.04 is the fifth round of the Best of British Championship. The practice will occur from 20:15 to 20:40 CEST, while the qualifying will take place from 20:40 CEST to 20:55 CEST. Our marquee race will be held between 21:00 to 23:30 CEST.
