SimGrid Seasons Goes To The Next Level

Mini_Enduro__Proving_Grounds_Banner_v2

We have been blown away by the response of everyone getting behind SimGrid Seasons and it gives us comfort and confirmation that this was 100% the right thing to do for console drivers.

We know there have been some niggling issues that we had to fix on the server side and you guys even broke our website for a short period, bravo! That’s how popular Seasons has been. Good problems to have they say! It’s time to scale up.

This is why we continue to push and strive for better and this is why we are taking SimGrid Seasons to the next level with resolutions for issues and positive changes to the structure based on your feedback.

If you are a console driver who’s yet to give SimGrid Seasons a go there is no better time than right now, this weekend, with everything going to the next level!

Listening To Your Feedback

We have taken on board your comments, video reviews and consensus of SimGrid Seasons and we are going to be removing the Half-Hour Dash from the lineup of championships available in Seasons. We understand it was too similar to Proving Grounds.

We are making some important changes to how you are going to be able to access Proving Grounds and Mini Enduro, stopping drivers who are completely new to ACC from accessing them until they complete certain requirements. This in turn should immediately help with driving standards.

We have also made important improvements to server stability thanks to the help of G Portal which should already be evident to those of you who are racing daily with us.

Proving Grounds Is Back

Proving Grounds opens back up today from 2:30 pm BST and we are giving you all 2 free passes per day for Proving Grounds races – This gives everyone the chance to try out something different for free alongside the Quick Races you’ve all been loving.

For the rest of the week, Proving Grounds will be at the Red Bull Ring, or if you’re old enough to remember the name, the A1 ring!

Drivers must complete a minimum of 3 Quick Races before taking part in Proving Grounds. This means that someone completely new to ACC has to at least have completed some online racing before jumping into the higher series.

Mini Enduro Comes Back As Well

Our flagship series, the Mini Enduro, opens back up this evening too and we are giving you all 1 free pass per day to get in on the action this weekend.

As Dave is competing at the 24 Hours of Spa this weekend, we are aligning Real and Sim to give you a weekend of action at Spa Francorchamps as well for our 45-minute Mini Enduro events.

Take a look at Dave’s onboard helmet cam footage from practice this week ready for the big one:

Server Stability Improvements

We have worked round the clock to improve server stability and those playing will have recognised this as we have nullified almost all errors now.

We have also increased the number of servers available thanks to G Portal, meaning the whole system is way more robust and ready for the uptake of drivers we anticipate.

Driving Standards

You have highlighted driving standards as a small issue and we are taking this very seriously. We are already working on a solution that will improve standards across the board, but do not forget we already have a reporting process in Discord and we take a zero-tolerance approach to deliberate crashing.

One of the other measures we are introducing is the requirement for drivers to participate in a minimum of 3 quick races before being able to access Proving Grounds and Mini Enduro. The reason behind this is a simple one. We can’t have drivers jumping into our more serious championships without ever racing on ACC before.

Over the coming days and weeks, you will see incremental changes coming through that will further improve the processes we have and this should help eradicate poor driving standards.

Seasons Grid Pass & Coach Dave Delta

If the free passes we give you this weekend are enough to whet your appetite for competitive console racing and you want more then you have two options available to you to give you more access.

SimGrid Grid Pass! – This gives you unlimited racing on SimGrid Seasons in every series we offer, with access to Driving Statistics, Performance Analysis, Grid Rating stats and more.

Coach Dave Delta! – With Grid Pass built into Delta this is the best value for money, thanks to the extra access to our entire ACC setup catalogue, which is amazing value in itself if you are competing in all SimGrid Seasons championships.
