Speed Capital is the parent company of three prominent businesses in the sim racing industry: SimGrid, SimTrader, and Coach Dave Academy. We are looking for a part-time Social Media Manager to help us promote our businesses and engage with our community of sim racing enthusiasts.

Job Summary

As a Social Media Manager, you will work closely with our Senior Social Media Manager, Inge Vliek, to create and schedule engaging content for our social media platforms. Your primary focus will be managing day-to-day social media activities and maintaining our brand voice across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Social Media Manager to create and maintain social media calendars for Coach Dave Academy and The SimGrid.
  • Write and schedule daily posts related to lap guides, setup sessions, iRacing and ACC blogs, special articles/blogs, and non-event related The SimGrid posts.
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement by scrolling through socials, liking posts, and replying to relevant content.
  • Pitch content ideas to the Senior Social Media Manager
  • Create TikToks/Instagram reels, preferably one a month and several a month if time permits
  • Update link trees as necessary
  • Adhere to the established tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other team members

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Proven experience in social media management and copywriting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of sim racing and motorsports is a plus
