This Month at SimGrid – November 2021

November will be a crucial month for the two scheduled series at The SimGrid, More Female Racers and Endurance Cup. After getting started in October, both championships will be entering a decisive phase in the next 30 days, before having the final verdicts in December and January.

More Female Racers Season 4

With the first two races done and dusted, More Female Racers will visit Imola and Silverstone for rounds 3 and 4. Through the first two events we have seen something curious in all of the four categories on track. GTWR R8G Female Racing in Pro and Silver, Luna Nera in Pro-Am and Team Riot in Am have all won in both Monza and Spa-Francorchamps

Despite the provisional dominance in the standings by these teams, races have been far from boring. In Spa, the battle for the first spot in the Pro category went down to the wire, with Griphax Engineering desperately trying to catch the winning car. Previously, in Monza, top-3 finishers were separated by less than 10 seconds at the chequered flag, after a chaotic first lap that mixed up the order.

For those who are not familiar with the format yet, MFR features a 60 minutes race, divided into 3 stints by 20 minutes each. Female drivers are required to do the qualifying, start and finish, while in the middle stint they can hand their Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo to co-drivers. Race day is Monday and, as already mentioned, there are two of them on the calendar in this month: the 8th and the 22nd of November. To not miss any of the exciting action provided by this format, make sure to tune in at 20.40 CET for the start of the qualifying session.

Endurance Cup Season 4

Teams and drivers taking part in the Endurance Cup Season 4 will face a busy month, which could give us a better idea of which crews are going to fight for the final win. In November the championship will end its European journey visiting the racing venues of Monza and Paul Ricard.

After winning the inaugural round in Spa-Francorchamps, R8G eSports will try to do it again both in Italy and France. Competition will be fierce though, starting from their affiliate team. GTWR R8G Academy – Black finished in second place, just ahead of RennWelten eSports – Blue. The two YAS HEAT entries will be looking for redemption following the issues faced in Round 1. After leading the pack in qualifying, #150 had to settle for 4th place at the end of the race. It did not go any better to #149, ending in 7th spot. Both crews will look to improve in the upcoming rounds to close the gap to the top of the table.

A more clear picture of how the championship standings will shape up could be provided already this weekend. On Saturday the 6th of November, starting from 15.40 CET with the qualifying session, teams will fight each other in the “Temple of Speed” for 6 long hours. Same duration for round 3, scheduled in Paul Ricard on the 27th of November.
That is all we have on the calendar for November 2021. Four races will keep our Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons busy. With more than 14 hours of racing ahead of us, make sure to save the dates to not miss any of the track action. All events will be broadcast live by The Sim Grid Youtube channel.
